How to Sign "In" in American Sign Language (ASL)

In ASL, "in" is signed by making a dominant hand into a curved "U" shape with palm facing down, then moving it downward into a stationary non-dominant hand formed in a "C" shape with palm facing up. This shows putting something in a container. The movement can change a little bit based on what you're talking about - like being in a place versus putting something in a box. ASL users make this sign often.
